Ingmar Bergman Persona című filmje ihlette a munkámat. Kierkegaard szerint a gondolkodó ember, művész, tudós életében elsődlegesen nem annyira a szellem képzése a fontos, hanem inkább a személyiség érlelése, hogy emberi lénye harmonikusan tudjon megnyilatkozni. Az érett személyiség harmonikus, ezen állapot elérése közben a filmben szereplők tele lesznek kétellyel, elbizonytalanodnak létezésük értelmét illetően. Megrekednek, idegenként érzik magukat a saját életükben. Több személyiséggel rendelkeznek, amelyek közül mindig másik kerül előtérbe a különböző élethelyzetekben. Ezt az állapotot szerettem volna megjeleníteni a munkámban. Amikor felülkerekedik az egyik, a másik elhalványul. Addig, míg nem éri el a személyiség a harmonikus állapotot, ez a kettős, vagy akár több szintű struktúra alkot egy rendszert, mely azonban labilis, bármelyik pillanatban összeomolhat.

My work was inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s film, Persona. According to Kierkegaard, in the life of a thinker, an artist or a scientist, it is not so much the training of the spirit that is of primary importance but rather the maturing of the personality, if one is to live harmoniously. As the characters in the film strive to reach maturity, they become doubtful and uncertain regarding the meaning of their existence. They get stuck, they feel as if they are strangers in their own lives. They have a number of personalities, each one coming to the fore in different life situations. I wanted to depict this state in my work. When one overcomes, the other fades. Until the personality reaches a harmonious state, this dual multi-faceted condition gives rise to a state which, however, is unstable and which may collapse at any moment.
