A gyerekek jelentős része félbehagyja a zenélést felnőtt korára. A jelenség létrejöttében sokszor a rossz hangszerválasztás is közrejátszik. Nem ritka, hogy a kérdésben a szülők maguk döntenek a gyerekek helyett. Erre a problémára reflektál a Forrest, ami kvízalapú weboldalként játékosan segít eligazodni a gyerekeknek és szüleiknek a „kezdő hangszerek” rengetegében. Ahhoz, hogy megtaláljuk az ajánlott hangszert, be kell lépni az erdőbe, ahol az erdei állatok fognak elvezetni hozzá. A választható hangszerek listája az 5-8 évesek fejlettségéhez, illetve a zeneiskolai képzésekhez igazodik. A kérdések csak a leggyakrabban előforduló akadályokat, a személyiségbeli vonásokat veszik figyelembe, így nagyobb teret engednek a szabad döntés számára.

A significant percentage of children quit playing musical instruments by the time they reach adulthood. The wrong choice of instrument often plays a part in this act. It is not uncommon for the parents to decide on the issue instead of the children. This problem is reflected in Forrest, a quiz-based website that helps to guide children and their parents in the abundance of “beginners’ instruments” in a playful way. In order to find the recommended instrument the player has to enter the forest where forest animals will guide them to the instrument. The list of optional musical instruments is adapted to the development of 5-8 year olds and to the practice of music school training. The questions only take into account the most common obstacles, personality traits, thus allowing greater room for free decisions.
