Image of the coexistence of ethnic groups in contemporary Slovak films

Thesis

As an ethnic Hungarian from Slovakia, I found it important to choose a topic, which has an impact on my life. My thesis examines those Slovakian movies, in which the topic of coexistence of ethnic groups appears. In my research, I was looking for an answer to the question, how the coexistence of ethnic groups turns up in the examined movies, and who and how is affected by the weak linguistic assimilation of the elderly. Usage of place, language and assimilation are important motifs in my thesis.
