The Thriller in Contemporary Hungarian Films

Thesis

The thesis is about the appearance of thriller in different contemporary Hungarian movies. The first chapter examines thriller as a genre, in the second chapter we get an insight into the meaning of suspense and its forms. In addition to theoretical references I also illustrate its appearance with examples from different movies. The third chapter examines the particularities of the subgenres of thriller. In the summary the chosen Hungarian movies are listed according to their year of debut, and the previously introduced characteristics of genres and subgenres are also explained.
