Stylized Botany No. 1–4

My diploma work is based on examining shapes. I used four pieces of my photographs for the series, which depict seemingly symmetrical plants. Using these plants’ particular features I created their stylised, geometric shapes. I made sure that both the textures of the photos and the colour of the forms are distinctive, yet they complement each other. In contrast to nature’s “imperfections” I designed an exact geometrical form, which capture the given plants from my perspective. Nature-made shapes are being opposed to artificial ones, and still they are connected to each other.
