Life Events’ Representation through French Playing Cards

Many tools have become necessary to express our feelings and messages, regardless of age. My diploma work is a kind of re-design of a French playing card illustration, which is based on four different life situations, or life events. My inspiration comes from my own and my friend’s lives, such as: relationship, childbearing, death and moving. The illustrations are represented in two parts, and the colours are connected with the four seasons as well. The twelve characters symbolically interact with the months of the seasons, reflecting the circle of human life.
