MA Project Week '26
The Graphic Design MA Project Week Has Taken Place
Between September 14 and 18, the Graphic Design master’s program held its semester-opening project week, in which both first- and second-year students participated together. The aim of the week was for students to gain a clearer sense of their own design directions right at the start of their studies, and for the two year groups to get to know each other and the faculty better.
On Monday and Tuesday, ten instructors each gave a short presentation introducing their own design, creative, and research work. The students then followed: first-year students presented short introductory talks on Tuesday, and second-year students on Wednesday.
Presenting instructors: Birkás Mona, Csontó Lajos, Faa Balázs, Gyöngy Dániel, Sipos Levente, Süli-Zakar Szabolcs, Szigeti G. Csongor, Szilágyi Rudolf, Tarr Kálmán, Vajdics Tamás
On Thursday and Friday, the first-year students worked with Szigeti G. Csongor on direction-finding exercises based on the assignment series titled “10 Exercises for Mapping One’s Own Design Directions.” The goal was for everyone to articulate what interests and motivates them as designers. On the final two afternoons, both year groups watched the POV online streamed lectures together.
The thinking that began here will continue in the students’ individual projects over the coming months.
