Témaválasztásomat közvetlen környezetem és azok impulzusai határozzák meg. A körülöttem lévő látványt alakítom át sajátos „életképekké”, melynek meghatározó eleme a pillanatnyi gesztus. Alkotói attitűdöm nonfiguratív festészetben gyökerezik, ám figurális elemekkel egészül ki. A geometrikus téri elemek, az esetlegesség, a látvány formai átírása, a kiragadott forma teljes átalakítása foglalkoztat. Munkám során a kiindulási pontot rendszerint egy fotó szolgáltatja. A fotó alapú mű során gyakran tárgyiasítom a megjelenő személyeket, akik így semlegessé válnak. Az ábrázolt személy függetlenítve van az elkészült képtől.

My choice of theme is determined by my immediate environment and the impulses it is giving me. I transformed the view around me into special ”genre paintings”, the decisive element of which is the momentary gesture. My creative attitude is rooted in non-figurative painting, but it is complemented by figural elements. The transcription of geometric spatial elements, eventuality, the formal reorganisation of the vision and the complete transformation of the form that has been cast out are in the centre of my attention. In my work, the starting point is usually provided by a photo. In the photo-based work, I often objectify the people who appear in the image, thus they become neutral in the course of painting. The person depicted is independent of the completed image.
