Contemporary graphic design is becoming more experimental, but most of the work still follows specific briefs, strict concepts, and well-established rules. "Porta" is a book that aims to break free from these constraints. It has a unique concept that pushes the boundaries of traditional publications to become an art piece. The design drew inspiration from both manual and digital techniques. Manual influences include papercuts and textile art, while digital design trends such as pixel art and glitch effects also played a significant role. The publication promotes the freedom of experimentation and design, reminding us to indulge in it, something we often forget in our professional lives. The primary medium of the publication is the typeface, where the distortion and variation of the processed texts symbolize the merging of manual and digital worlds. In terms of content, Latin idioms and 'eternal truths' relating to creation and its processes are used. With the help of Artificial Intelligence, old texts are recontextualized, opening up new interpretations for contemporary creators.
