Daisy World is my graduation project, a 2D digital animated short film created using a frame-by-frame technique. It exists at the intersection of drama, educational content, and psychological storytelling. The film has a runtime of 5 minutes and 10 seconds. Its narrative shifts between two distinctly contrasting visual styles. The sequences representing reality are rendered without outlines, using full color, tonal shading, and painterly surfaces. These are sharply contrasted by monochromatic purple dream sequences, created with line-based morph animation that reflects the protagonist’s inner experiences. The story begins with the birth of a boy who encounters a giant seashell. The shell becomes his guide, leading him through the history of the world—from its origins to the present day. Throughout this journey, the protagonist is confronted with a decision that has the potential to affect the fate of the entire world.
