The long-unseen relative

short animated film

What did I bring from home? Images, sounds, and memories are what I carry with me—reminders of where I come from, even across a long journey. This experimental animated short film is rooted in personal experiences of searching for home, remembering, and belonging to multiple places at once. The journey between Vojvodina and Eger appears not only as physical distance, but also as an inner journey. In this process, past and present continuously intertwine. The film is composed of archival footage, family recordings, handmade images, and collages. The layering of images and sounds evokes fragments of memory. These fragments help preserve the places, people, and moments that have shaped me.
