The FIDGETYPO 3D printable font combines anxiety-relieving fidget toys with the world of typography. Each letter has movable, fiddly parts that can help reduce anxiety, especially among neurodivergent people, and they can also help dyslexic children learn letters. The letters come with cards showing models and interesting facts, as well as 3D animations demonstrating the function of each letter, which help with their use and make learning more enjoyable.

With the growth of the neurodivergent population, promoting neuroinclusivity is becoming increasingly important. Although there are no golden rules for neuroinclusive design yet, there are guidelines that can be followed to make our projects more accessible and thus more widely available. In my thesis, I focus on neuroinclusive design solutions for reading and navigation difficulties. The cornerstone of inclusive design is user-centeredness, which can be best understood by the phrase “if something is annoying, it’s probably not accessible” (Regine M. Gilbert).
