Meritum is a story-driven, top-down pixel art video game set in an abandoned labyrinth, heavily inspired by various myths and mythologies. The protagonist, Simon, wanders into the labyrinth in search of his mysteriously disappeared brother, Jacob. His only hope is Atanáz, the fire spirit who guards the labyrinth. But the labyrinth is full of trials that test Simon’s body, soul, and spirit to allow him to continue. The first is a test of courage or fire, where Simon must place his hand in the flames when he is truly afraid.
