The story centers on two characters, Martin and Evelin, who have different emotional attitudes toward each other: while Evelin wants more than just friendship, Martin does not want to get involved in a romantic relationship. This imbalance creates constant tension between them, in which they increasingly become a burden to each other. The aim of the animation is to show this emotional imbalance and to convey the process by which one of them finally decides to change the situation. Through the conscious use of visual tools and dramaturgy – such as flashbacks, contrasting colors, and the symbolic role of the seatbelt – I aim to convey the tension between them and the weight of their one-sided emotions. These elements not only help the story unfold, but also contribute to a deeper understanding of the characters’ state of mind, while gradually leading to the final decision and its visual representation. The animation is based on the music of Towpe (Péter Dóczi) entitled Seat Belt.
