An illustrated series of leporello poems for children, presenting the works of lesser-known published contemporary Hungarian poets. The poems focus on animals that are given human characteristics in their visual representation. The illustrations are stylized, outline drawings: the birds’ wings resemble gloves, while the four-legged animals have human bodies and behave accordingly. When developing the illustration concept, special attention was paid to the characteristics of the leporello format; as a result, the pages placed next to each other form a coherent, visually unified image through the continuity of the background elements.
